At Fitness First, our people are our best asset and we “go further” by giving them every opportunity to grow within our organisation.

Our Training programs, or Certification Journeys as we call them, provide ongoing development by giving you the knowledge, skills and tools to succeed in your role –whether you are a Front Line club or support office staff, a Line Manager looking after a team of role experts, a General Manager overseeing different departments within a club or an Area Business Manager with responsibilities over multiple clubs.

We believe that learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom, but that learning is most effective when done through a blend of workshops, self-directed tasks, and on the job coaching and mentoring. All our workshops are designed to be dynamic and engaging. We believe that people learn when they are engaged and having fun and that learning ‘sticks’ when learners are empowered to discover answers for themselves and are able to relate what they have learnt to their current role.

For Role Experts who are passionate about developing others, there is also an opportunity to join our team of Learning Experts to facilitate our Training Programs.

To ensure our people are getting the support they need to excel in their roles, we encourage our line managers to help their team members establish a personal development plan and hold regular meetings to review this together.
